Wills are one of those things people do think about but will repeatedly put off taking action to or even having the discussion to decide what happens to us and our affairs when we die. However, these decisions can be some of the most important ones in your life.

Lasting Power of Attorney
An LPA is a legal document which allows a person to appoint someone they know and trust to make decisions and manage their affairs on their behalf should they become unable to do so in the future? It is important to add at this stage that you must able to think clearly and be in control of and responsible for your actions to have an LPA put in place.

Trusts
A Trust is where you entrust the rights of your legal relationship of what you have for another’s benefit. There are different types of Trusts which enables you to do different things. A Trust can be created by someone in their lifetime which is called a Lifetime Trust or by a Will which is called a Will Trust.
Trusts can be created for an individual, family, organisations, or a business.

Document Storage
Storing your legal documents safely, storing the original versions of legal documents, such as Wills and Powers of Attorney are the only legally binding versions.
Your Will and any other relevant legal documents, such as Powers of Attorney, are kept in a waterproof wallet in a specialist document archive facility.

Probate
Probate is the legal process which involves dealing with a deceased estate.
Probate establishes if there is a valid Will and who the executors are of the deceased's estate. The executors are carrying out the deceased's wishes.
The executors will have to obtain a grant of probate and once granted and authorised, the executors can access bank accounts, settle debts, and distribute the estate in accordance with the wishes of the deceased.
